About
I have received a Laurea (MSc equivalent) in Experimental Psychology at the University of Padova, under the supervision of Prof. Franca Stablum in 2001, studying executive functions in traumatic brain injury patients and normal controls. In 2002 I moved to Verona (my hometown, by the way), to work with Prof. Leonardo Chelazzi, and in 2006 I obtained a PhD in Neuroscience with a thesis entitled "Visual selective attention and the effects of monetary rewards". During my PhD, together with Leo Chelazzi I participated to the discovery that the working of visual selective attention processes is subject to reward-mediated learning. Since then this became my main research topic, and now as an independent researcher affiliated to the group of Leo Chelazzi I am trying to get a complete picture of this newly found form of attentional learning, both at the behavioral, and at the neurophysiological level.
