About
Francesco Fabbro is 'Scholar on the Subject' of Pedagogy and Didactic at the University of Verona, where in 2009 he was awarded a PhD in Education Science. He works as researcher/producer on MTV NEWS, an Italian tv programme about youth culture, politics and education. His research interests focus on the interrelation between Media Literacy Education, Citizenship Issues and Youth Cultures. He has also been working in teacher training to promote Critical Media Literacy as teaching and learning strategy for Citizenship Education. He collaborated to the EC-funded project 'Civic Web. Young People, the Internet and Civic Participation' (2006-2009) and he is currently writing (action)research proposals and articles about human rights education, media education and media activism, and about the use of digital technologies in (in)formal education settings.
